On the Nature of Hd 207331: a New Δ Scuti Variable
نویسنده
چکیده
While testing a Strömgren spectrophotometer attached to the 1.5-m telescope at the San Pedro Mártir observatory, Mexico, a number of A-type stars were observed, one of which, HD 207331, presented clear indications of photometric variability. CCD photometric data acquired soon after, confirmed its variability. In order to determine its pulsation behaviour more accurately, uvby differential photoelectric photometry was carried out for three nights. As a result of the period analysis of the light curves we have found a dominant pulsation mode at 21.1 cd with an amplitude of 6 mmag. This strongly suggests that HD 207331 is a new δ Scuti-type pulsating star. Individual Objects: HD 207331, BD+42 4208, TYC 3196-1243-1, HD 208310, HD

On the nature of the δ Scuti star star HD 115520
As a continuation of the study of the newly found δ Scuti star HD 115520, we present a period analysis of recently acquired photometric data covering four nights, as well as some conclusions on the nature of this star.
متن کاملMulti - Site Observations of Δ Scuti Stars 7 Aql and 8 Aql ( a New Δ Scuti Variable ) : the Twelfth Stephi Campaign in 2003
We present an analysis of the pulsation behaviour of the δ Scuti stars 7 Aql (HD 174532) and 8 Aql (HD 174589) – a new variable star – observed in the framework of STEPHI XII campaign during 2003 June–July. 183 hours of high precision photometry were acquired by using four-channel photometers at three sites on three continents during 21 days. The light curves and amplitude spectra were obtained...
متن کاملPeriod change and δ Scuti pulsations of eclipsing binary star RZ Cassiopiae
RZ Cas is an Algol-type partial eclipsing binary, the secondary component of which has filled its Roche lobe. Its visual magnitude is 6.18 and its period is 1.195 days. The most important characteristics of RZ Cas are period change (due to mass transfer) and anomalies in the primary minimum of its light curve (due to δ Scuti pulsations). In this paper, light curves of RZ Cas are obtained using ...
متن کاملFour New δ Scuti Pulsators from a Variability Survey of 131 Stars
In a photometric variability survey of 131 stars with B . 14 mag, we have found four new δ Scuti stars. We were sensitive to oscillation amplitudes as low as a few mmag. The detection rate of short-period (P < 0.1 d) pulsating variable stars, which may be relevant for planned large variability surveys such as GAIA, POI, and even the LSST, was therefore 3%. All four new variable stars have low p...

Observing Delta Scuti stars is most important as their multi-frequency spectrum of radial pulsations provide strong constraints on the physics of the stars interior; so any new detection and observation of these stars is a valuable contribution to asteroseismology. While performing uvby-beta photoelectric photometry of some RR Lyrae stars acquired in 2005 at the Observatorio Astronómico Naciona...
